Alison Chase will compete in the United States Inter-Regional Highland Dance Championships in Denver, Colorado from July 16-20.
Members of SAHDVT have performed at: the St. Andrew's Society of Vermont Burns Night celebration and Tartan Ball, First Night St. Johnsbury, Richmond's Celtic New Year celebration, the Vermont International Festival, with the Vermont Fiddle Orchestra, a Sadie Simpson fundraiser, several other New Year's celebrations, and other events.
Congratulations to AmyBeth Fredricksen on the birth of her daughter (and granddaughter to Mary Lillie).
Ashley Davidson was nominated for and attended the Sadie Simpson BATD Highland Scholarships in Edmonton, Alberta and placed 3rd in the Theory Paper. Ashley was also 2nd Runner Up in the FUSTA Pre-Premier awards for 2007 as an Intermediate.
Kelly Kort was nominated for the 2007 Sadie Simpson BATD Highland Scholarships. Kelly took and passed the Associate level teachers exam in Toronto in August 2007.
Katie Bull passed the Associate level
teachers exam and is now instructing in St. Johnsbury. She choreographed
and directed an original production called A Celtic Nutcracker
as part of her senior Capstone project at St. Johnsbury Academy.
Dancers from the St. Andrew's Highland Dancers of Vermont performed at First Night in Burlington and First Night in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
